According to the documents sent to the SEC, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has sold about one million shares of his company, earning $ 1.8 billion. Forbes has already said that it was the largest sale of stocks in the entire history of the Internet retailer.

Last year, Mr. Bezos got the title of the richest man. Then his fortune totaled 150 billion US dollars. However, it has decreased significantly after his divorce. Despite a substantial loss, the businessman still ranks first in the ranking of the richest people in the world. According to Bloomberg, the businessman’s fortune is estimated at $ 117 billion.

On Thursday, Amazon shared grew half a percent. Over this year, the company’s market value has increased almost a quarter and currently amounts to 923 billion US dollars.
